Generic Astelin is an antihistamine nasal spray. It works by blocking the action of histamine, which reduces allergy symptoms.
Active Ingredients: azelastine hydrochloride
Inactive Ingredients: benzalkonium chloride, edetate disodium, hypromellose, citric acid, dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, and purified water.

What is Generic Astelin PRESCRIBED For?
Generic Astelin is used for treating allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itchy, runny nose, stuffy nose, symptoms of nasal passage inflammation, and postnasal drip.
How Should I Take Generic Astelin?
Keep your head tilted downward. Place the spray tip ¼ to ½ inch into the nostril. Hold bottle upright, allowing spray tip to aim toward the back of the nose. Close the other nostril with one finger. Spray rapidly and firmly once and sniff gently at the same time. Repeat in the other nostril as directed. Breathe in gently. Do not tilt your head back after using Generic Astelin.
Store Generic Astelin with tightly closed pump at room temperature in a dark dry place. Protect it from freezing. Keep Geneirc Astelin out of the reach of children.
What are the CONTRAINDICATIONS for taking Generic Astelin?
Generic Astelin is contraindicated to persons who have allergy to any of its component and women who are pregnant or breast-feeding.
What Happens if I MISS A DOSE?
If you miss a dose of Generic Astelin, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use double doses.
What happens if I OVERDOSE?
Symptoms of Generic Astelin overdose may include increased limp muscles; saliva production; seizures; tremors. If the overdose is suspected, contact your doctor or emergensy room immediately.
What are the possible SIDE EFFECTS of Generic Astelin?
Generic Astelin may cause the following side effects: bitter taste, drowsiness, headache, loss of sensation, nasal, burning, sneezing, sore throat.
What other drugs can INTERACT with Generic Astelin?
Generic Astelin may interact with the following: Codeine, Phenobarbital, Restoril, Cimetidine, Ketoconazole, Benadryl, Claritin, other antihistamines and drugs that slow the nervous system.
