Generic Augmentin is used in the treatment of lower respiratory, middle ear, sinus, skin, and urinary tract infections that are caused by certain specific bacteria.
How Should I Take Generic Augmentin?
Take each dose of Generic Augmentin with a full glass of water at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. The Generic Augmentin tablet should be swallowed whole.

What are the CONTRAINDICATIONS for taking Generic Augmentin?
Generic Augmentin is contraindecated to persons who are allergic to any of its component, liver disease (or a history of hepatitis or jaundice), kidney disease or mononucleosis; women who are breast-feeding.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take double dose.

Generic Augmentin may cause the following side effects: diarrhea, gas, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, headache, skin rash or itching, white patches in your mouth or throat and vaginal yeast infection.
What other drugs can INTERACT with Generic Augmentin?
Do not take Generic Augmentin along with the following: Allopurinol, Probenecid or another antibiotic.
