Generic Ceftazidime is used to treat abdominal infections, infections caused by the bacterium, pseudomonas aeruginosa, infections of the organs associated with breathing including the nose, windpipe and lungs (respiratory tract), and infections of the urinary system.
How Should I Take Generic Ceftazidime?
Generic Ceftazidime is administered via an injection into a muscle, or infusion into a vein.
Before you administer Genenric Ceftazidime, look at the solution closely. It should be clear and free of floating material. Gently squeeze the bag or observe the solution container to make sure there are no leaks. Do not use the solution if it is discolored, if it contains particles, or if the bag or container leaks.
Keep Generic Ceftazidime in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store Generic Ceftazidime in the refrigerator but protect it from freezing, heat, moisture and direct light. Keep it out of the reach of children.

What are the CONTRAINDICATIONS for taking Generic Ceftazidime?
Generic Ceftazidime is contraindecated to patients who have allergy to any of its ingredients, penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotic, have stomach or bowel problems, blood clotting problems, kidney or liver problems, myasthenia gravis, or poor nutrition; women who are preganant or breast-feeding.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose.
