CLASS and MECHANISM of Action
Genenric Ceftin is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacteria's cell wall so that the wall ruptures, resulting in the death of the bacteria.
Active Ingredients: cefuroxime axetil.
Inactive Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hydrogenated vegetable oil, hypromellose, methylparaben, microcrystalline cellulose, propylene glycol, propylparaben, sodium benzoate, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide.

Genenric Ceftin is used for treating bacterial infections of sinus, skin, lung, urinary tract, ear, or throat.
How Should I Take Generic Ceftin?
Take Generic Ceftin by mouth with or without food. Do not break, crush, or chew the pill. Swallow it the whole. Generic Ceftin works best if it is taken at the same time each day.
Store Generic Ceftin at a room tempereature in a dark dry place. Keep it out of the reach of children.
What are the CONTRAINDICATIONS for taking Generic Ceftin?
Generic Ceftin is contraindecated to patients who have allergic reaction to any of its ingredients, a penicillin antibiotic or other beta-lactam antibiotic; have diarrhea, a stomach or intestinal infection, or a blood clotting problem; pregnant or breast-feeding women. Generic Ceftin should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 3 months old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
What Happens if I MISS A DOSE?
If you miss a dose of Generic Ceftin, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose, and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take double or extra doses.
What happens if I OVERDOSE?
Symptoms of Generic Ceftin overdose may include seizures. If the overdose is suspected, contact you doctor or emergency room immediately.
What are the possible SIDE EFFECTS of Generic Ceftin?
Generic Ceftin may cause the following side effects: bloody stools; change in the amount of urine; dark urine; easy bruising or bleeding; fatigue; fever; seizures; severe diarrhea; stomach cramps/pain; vaginal irritation or discharge; yellowing of the skin or eyes; diarrhea/loose stools; nausea; vomiting.

Generic Ceftin may interact with the fllowing: aminoglycosides, cyclosporine, diuretics, or other medicines affecting the kidney; hormonal contraceptive.
