CLASS and MECHANISM of Action

Generic Celebrex is a COX-2 inhibitor NSAID. It works by blocking certain substances in the body that are linked to inflammation.

Active Ingredients: celecoxib
Inactive Ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, edible inks, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Generic Celebrex is used for treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile arthritis, menstrual pain, or pain. It is used in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) to decrease the number of polyps (growths) in the rectal area.

How Should I Take Generic Celebrex?

Take Generic Celebrex by mouth with a full glass of water or with food if it upsets your stomach. Do not lie down for 30 minutes after you take Generic Celebrex .

Generic is contraindicated to patients who have allergic reaction to any of its ingredients; a history of kidney or liver disease, diabetes, or stomach or bowel problems; a history of swelling or fluid buildup, asthma, growths in the nose; a high fever, rash, high blood pressure, blood disorders, bleeding or clotting problems, heart problems or blood vessel disease; have poor health, dehydration or low fluid volume, or low blood sodium levels, often drink alcohol; pregnant or breast-feeding women.
Generic Celebex may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke that can lead to death. It should not be used right before or after heart surgeries.

What Happens if I MISS A DOSE?

If you miss a dose of Generic Celebrex, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take double or extra doses.

What happens if I OVERDOSE?

Symptoms of Generic Celebrex overdose may include decreased urination; loss of consciousness; seizures; severe dizziness or drowsiness; severe nausea or stomach pain; slow or troubled breathing; unusual bleeding or bruising; vomits.
If the overdose is suspected, contact your doctor or emergency room immediatly.

What are the possible SIDE EFFECTS of Generic Celebrex?

Generic Celebrex may interact with the following: anticoagulants, aspirin, corticosteroids, heparin, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs); fluconazole or probenecid; cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, or quinolones; angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or diuretics.
