Generic "Crixivan" is a member of a class of medicinal products called protease inhibitors. It is active against the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) helping to reduce the number of HIV particles in blood. Do not use Generic "Crixivan" after the expiry date stated on the bottle or carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Store Generic "Crixivan" in the original bottle. Keep the bottle tightly closed in order to protect from moisture.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

Do not take Generic "Crixivan": if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to indinavir or any of the other ingredients of Generic "Crixivan". Signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction may include: itchy skin, redness of the skin, wheals or hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat, or difficulty breathing; if you take products containing rifampicin, amiodarone, terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride; alprazolam, triazolam, oral (taken by mouth) midazolam (used to help you sleep and/or to relieve anxiety), pimozide and ergot derivatives such as ergot tartramine and ergot tartramine with caffeine, simvastatin or lovastatin; if you take products containing Hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort) as this may result in the loss of therapeutic effect and development of resistance.

Talk to your doctor first before taking Generic "Crixivan"if you are taking pimozide; cisapride; rifampin or rifabutin; ergotamine or dihydroergotamine; Amiodarone, bepridil, flecainide, propafenone, or quinidine; herbal or natural products containing St. John's wort; bupropion or clozapine; diazepam, clorazepate, estazolam, flurazepam, midazolam, triazolam, or zolpidem; or meperidine, piroxicam or propoxyphene. Inform your doctor first before taking Generic "Crixivan" if you are taking sildenafil, vardenafil or tadalafil; phenytoin, carbamazepine, or Phenobarbital; tricyclic antidepressant like amitriptyline, desipramine, nortriptyline, imipramine, and others; warfarin; cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus; or methadone. Also, inform your doctor first before taking Generic "Crixivan" if you are taking stomach or ulcer medication like cimetidine, famotidine, nizatidine, ranitidine, esomeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole, omeprazole, or rabeprazole; dapsone; cholesterol medicine like atorvastatin, lovastatin, pravastatin, and simvastatin; disulfiram; or theophylline.
