The tablet should be swallowed whole and not chewed or crushed.

Store Generic "Diltiazem Hci" at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C).
Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Generic "Diltiazem Hci" out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Generic "Diltiazem Hci" is contraindicated in: Patients with sick sinus syndrome except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemaker, patients with second- or third-degree AV block except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemake; Patients with hypotension (less than 90 mm Hg systolic); Patients who have demonstrated hypersensitivity to the drug; Patients with acute myocardial infarction and pulmonary congestion documented by x-ray on admission.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication.

Generic "Diltiazem Hci" may also interact with the following medications:
