Inform your doctor first before using Generic "Flovent" if you have serious viral, bacterial, or fungal infection. This medication could inhibit the ability of the body to fight off infections. It may not be good for you to use this medication if you have infections. This medication is used to prevent asthma attacks but this would not treat an asthma attack that is already in progress or started. Avoid using this medication in treating an asthma attack.

In case you miss a dose of Generic "Flovent", use the missed dose as soon as you remember but if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as directed by your doctor. Avoid using a double dose of Generic "Flovent".

Call an emergency room in case you suspect an overdose with Generic "Flovent".

Some of the serious side effects of Generic "Flovent" are allergic reaction such as closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, difficulty in breathing, or hives; numbness, tingling, or pain; rash or unexplained open sores or bruising; and worsening respiratory symptoms. If you experience any of the said serious side effects, stop using Generic "Flovent", look for emergency medical attention or call your doctor immediately.
Some of the less serious side effects of Generic "Flovent" are yeast infection in the mouth or throat; wheezing; unpleasant taste or smell; headache or lightheadedness; decreased growth in children taking large doses; increased pressure in the eyes, glaucoma, or tearing of the eyes; hoarseness or deepening of the voice, cough, or sore throat; dryness of the mouth, nose, or throat after use; and cataracts, which may develop after long-term use.

Serum level and/or toxicity of Generic "Flovent" may be increased; this effect was shown with ketoconazole, but not erythromycin. Other potential inhibitors include amiodarone, cimetidine, clarithromycin, delavirdine, diltiazem, dirithromycin, disulfiram, grapefruit juice, indinavir, itraconazole, nefazodone, nevirapine, propoxyphene, quinupristin-dalfopristin, ritonavir, saquinavir, verapamil, zafirlukast, zileuton.
