Generic "Propecia" belongs to a group of medicines called "5 alpha reductase inhibitors".

Side effects from Generic "Propecia" are uncommon and don't affect most men: less desire for sex; difficulty in achieving an erection; a decrease in the amount of semen; rashes; itching and swelling of the lips and face; testicular pain.
Please NOTE that these side effects are very rare. They occurred in less than 2% of men.
Generic "Propecia" can affect a blood test called PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) for the screening of prostate cancer. If you have a PSA test done, you should tell your doctor that you are taking Generic "Propecia".
