Ask your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication. Store Generic Skelaxin at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to Generic Skelaxin, or if you have: anemia (a lack of red blood cells); severe kidney disease; or severe liver disease.

Before using Generic Skelaxin, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have liver or kidney disease. You may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take Generic Skelaxin. This medication may be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. It is not known whether this medication passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not give this medicine to a child younger than 12 years old.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at your next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. An overdose of Generic Skelaxincan be fatal.

Generic Skelaxin may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
• drowsiness
• dizziness
• upset stomach
• vomiting
• headache
• nervousness

If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
• severe skin rash
• difficulty breathing
• yellowing of the skin or eyes
• unusual bruising or bleeding
• unusual tiredness or weakness
• seizures

Before taking Generic Skelaxin, tell your doctor if you are using any of the following drugs:
a barbiturate such as amobarbital (Amytal), butabarbital (Butisol), mephobarbital (Mebaral), secobarbital (Seconal), or phenobarbital (Luminal, Solfoton); or medicines to treat psychiatric disorders, such as chlorpromazine (Thorazine), haloperidol (Haldol), mesoridazine (Serentil), pimozide (Orap), or thioridazine (Mellaril). If you are using any of these drugs, you may not be able to use Generic Skelaxin, or you may need dosage adjustments or special tests during treatment. There may be other drugs not listed that can affect Generic Skelaxin. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.

Keep all appointments with your doctor. Do not let anyone else take your medications. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription. Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pets. If using this medicine for an extended period of time, obtain necessary refills before your supply runs out.
