When lunch time arrives, they catch up some quick snack and down it without leaving the desk while continuing working. Or they may go to a restaurant or some fast food place, sometimes with friends and sometimes as a business lunch to continue working. Or, perhaps, they brought a meal from home and may eat it at their desk or in the break room and then rapidly return to the work.
All the above sounds very familiar, however this is the contrary of what would be healthy for the daily meal break. If the breakfast is skipped, it puts the body on the hunger from the very beginning of the day. Preserving with care as much calories and energy as possible is the body’s natural response to starvation, which is not a good thing for creating a firm metabolism. Later, after spending part of the day in hunger, people either continue working while eating or rush to lunch without giving their body even little time for a rest. This is an often mistake that creates defiance for the body to digest. A relaxed state of mind is a vital component for the digestion and distribution of the nutrients of the body. People make their system to work overtime to complete its tasks by not taking a time to switch to the relaxed state of mind before eating. Moreover, after eating, people return to work, but their bodies has received a lot of calories without any chance to burn them off. Which way of lunchtime is healthy? In the first place, it is vital to have a healthy breakfast full of proteins in the morning. Whether a job is high stressed or not, when it’s about the lunchtime, everyone must take at least five minutes to calm the mind and the body before food intake. Then, excepting that there is a cafeteria or a restaurant very closely to the working place, the food should be brought to work. It enables controlling what and how much the person eats. While eating it’s good to focus on the meal and liberate the mind from work, problems or anything stressful. All those things can wait till the lunch time end. The single most important thing which can be done after the food intake is a pleasant walk. A walk will help to burn up sugar in the blood stream and will prevent it from converting into a fat, which is a natural process that occurs after every meal. Even a slow brief walk will accelerate the process of utilizing the fat for energy because any physical exercises make body to burn the fats. This means doing exactly contrary to what has been done in the forenoon and probably will be done in the afternoon.
